Try dedicating some time every day to spending some time on something you enjoy – whether it be baking, reading, or listening to music, it’s important to give our brains and bodies a break from the daily grind!
Remember to check in:
When you start feeling overwhelmed, don’t try to ignore it and power through. Instead, take a moment to consider the cause of your stress and create an action plan to accomplish your goals. Try writing down your intentions in the morning, and review throughout the day.
If you take a measured approach to completing your daily tasks, you’re less likely to feel exhausted and run-down at the end of the day.
Address the stress:
If there is an aspect of your life that routinely causes you severe stress, it might be time to reassess.
For example, if your workload is keeping you up at night, try talking to your manager about how you’re being impacted by this stress – it’s not healthy to never get a break. If this isn’t a possibility, it might be time to seriously consider whether your current job is worth the toll on your mental health.
